Great value, worth the switch

I was looking for a new internal documentation tool that wouldn't break the bank. Slite's free plan let me test it out thoroughly before committing. Then I saw the annual billing discount, which saved a good chunk compared to paying monthly. That 17% off made it a clear winner for us. Importing from Notion was a breeze, which was a big plus since we had a lot of old content. For the features you get, especially the AI search, it felt like a really good deal and a smart investment for our small team.

Good for team docs

We started using Slite for our team handbook. It was easy to set up and the smart editor worked well. Everyone could access it quickly. Made our internal docs much smoother.

Easy setup, great for onboarding

Just set up our onboarding docs in Slite for new employees. It was so simple to get everything organized with the document templates. The collaborative documentation features are exactly what we needed. Everyone on the team quickly got the hang of it, and it's already making our onboarding process much smoother. Definitely recommend!

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for an internal documentation tool for my small team and Slite caught my eye. The 14-day free trial let us test it out, which was great. I ended up signing up for the annual billing to get the discount; it made the pricing much more manageable. Setting up the team handbook was pretty straightforward. It was a good purchase overall, although I wish they had a bit more flexibility in their pricing tiers.

Reliable and consistent

Signed up for another year of the team wiki. This is our third year using Slite. The consistency is what keeps us coming back; it just works. The Notion importer saved us so much time initially, and the AI search for teams has been surprisingly useful for new hires. Always a solid experience.

Good for our small team

We've been using Slite for our internal documentation for a few months now, mainly for project documentation and meeting notes. The smart editor is pretty intuitive, and I appreciate the version history feature; it's saved us a couple of times. I did notice the mobile app could be a bit snappier, sometimes it takes a second too long to load documents. Overall, good value for what we pay, and it keeps our team on the same page.

Decent tool, delivery issue

I signed up for the annual billing to get the discount, which was a good saving. The onboarding docs were helpful for getting started. The AI knowledge base feature is pretty strong, it did a decent job verifying our existing content. I had a small issue with the initial account setup taking longer than expected, took about 3 days to get full access after payment, but support cleared it up when I messaged them. The mobile app is handy for quick checks too. Overall it's improved our project documentation flow quite a bit.

Always a reliable choice

This isn't my first time using Slite. We've been using their AI knowledge base for project documentation for over a year now. Every time I've needed to set up a new project or onboard a new team member, it's been consistently easy. The smart editor is still a standout feature, and the search function is always reliable. I did notice the Slack integration acted a bit slow this last time, but it still got the job done.

Does Slite have a free trial? Wanna test it out with my team before committing.

Yep, 14 days free trial. No credit card needed I think.

They do! You can try it out for two weeks, gives you enough time to see if it fits. There's also a free plan for super small teams if you just need basics.

How good is the Slack integration? We use Slack constantly and need our docs easily accessible there.

J Jacob S. 3 weeks ago
It's decent. You can search docs directly from Slack which is handy. I haven't messed with it much beyond that though.

I Ian Lee 3 weeks ago
The Slack integration is pretty solid. We use it to pull up articles during discussions. Makes it easy to share info without leaving Slack. You can also create docs from there I think.

I'm worried about data security if all our internal stuff is in Slite. Are they legit with privacy?

C Chris T. 1 month ago
They seem to take security pretty seriously, they've got all the standard stuff like encryption and whatnot. You can find more details on their site.

E Ella 1 month ago
They've got SSO support and good permission controls, which helps a lot. I remember reading they have strict data handling policies and regularly audit. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hey, I'm looking at pricing. Is there any way to get a discount besides paying annually? Like, are there ever coupon codes floating around?

L Lisa M. 1 month ago
Not really, I've seen them mostly push the annual billing for the discount. That's usually the biggest saving, like 17-20% off. Haven't seen many public codes.

J Jason D. 1 month ago
They do have a startup program that gives credits if you qualify, and I think student/non-profit discounts too. But yeah, for general public, annual pay is the main deal.

Can I easily get all our existing docs from Google Drive into Slite? Don't want to manually copy everything.

S Sean Smith 1 month ago
Yeah, they have an importer for Google Drive. Should make it pretty straightforward to migrate stuff.
1
M Mary Wilson 1 month ago
I used their Notion importer, and that worked pretty well. I assume the Google Drive one is similar. It won't be perfect, you'll probably need to do some cleanup, but it saves a ton of time.

Is Slite good for small teams, like 5-10 people? Or is it more for bigger companies?

T Tim Thomas 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it scales well. The free plan is even designed for small teams to start. We're about 15 and it works great, especially with the permissions management so everyone only sees what they need.

Thinking of switching from Notion. Is Slite really that much better for just internal team stuff? Notion feels a bit overkill sometimes.

W William Martinez 1 month ago
Yeah, I jumped ship from Notion a few months back. For pure internal docs, Slite is way more focused. The AI verification thing is actually super useful for keeping things updated.
1
S Sean J. 1 month ago
It depends on your team size and what you need. Slite is definitely geared more towards just docs and keeping them accurate, whereas Notion tries to do everything. I'd say for a smaller team or just a dedicated knowledge base, Slite feels lighter.

What's the deal with the AI keeping knowledge accurate? Does it actually work, or is it just marketing speak?

M Michael Parker 1 month ago
It actually prompts you to verify documents after a certain period or when changes happen elsewhere. It's not magic, but it helps remind people to keep things fresh.
5
B Brittany Diaz 1 month ago
It's not fully automatic, you still need humans, but the AI gives you nudges and suggestions to review outdated info. It's a game changer for making sure old docs don't just sit there getting stale.
